Migrations

It is estimated that globally there are more than 60 million refugees and forcibly displaced persons due to armed conflict, poverty, inequality and climate change.
Conscious of the fact that the protection and guarantee of their rights and their economic and social integration in the main countries of destination, such as Spain, are two of the biggest challenges of this era, we try to find and propose legal solutions and responses to promote and protect the rights of these individuals.

We analyse the underlying reality of the Alien Internment Centres (AIE), the legal framework in which they operate and their effectiveness as an instrument to manage irregular immigration, which is currently the subject of intense debate an analysis in legal and institutional spheres.

In addition to analysing the situation and legal challenges at alien internment centres (AIE), we research and promote improvements in legal advice and access to justice for forced migrants in a doubly vulnerable situation, including unaccompanied foreign minors, victims of gender-based violence, human trafficking victims and those that suffer from mental health problems.
