The Fundación Fernando Pombo participated in the 65º Virtual Forum from the Commission for the Legal and Social Condition of Women from UN Women, held from 14 to 26 March 2021.
On 16 March, the Foundation’s Director, Carmen Pombo, participated in the roundtable “Women’s Rights and Sustainability: Roadmap to Institutional Legal Reforms”, along with Almudena Arpón de Mendívil, partner at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, alongside other leading participants.
For the occasion, we created this video showcasing part of the work the Foundation has carried out with vulnerable women during the past decade.
UN Women considers that it is necessary to carry out legal and legislative changes in order to defend women’s rights; to this end, the implementation of SDG 5 in conjunction with SDG 16 requires certain reforms that enable women to obtain equal conditions when it comes to their rights.
